Germaine Tailleferre
The only composer of the famous group of Six formed under the aegis of Cocteau in 1916 in which she rubbed shoulders with Auric, Durey, Honegger, Milhaud and Poulenc, Germaine Tailleferre finds a voice in a show that combines texts and music.
“The only woman in the group of Six”: this quick definition passed, what do we know about Germaine Tailleferre? What do we know of his abundant production carried out over seventy years? Stage director Chloé Lechat invites us to enter the composer's “imaginary workshop”. Performed by the orchestra, several of his pieces will be compared to the works of his friends and his influences (Poulenc and Stravinsky). In counterpoint, texts interpreted by the actress Dominique Reymond will make it possible to retrace the journey of a singular artist who went through the great historical and cultural upheavals of the 20th century. century.

« Cette mise en scène de la réalité du quotidien des artistes en répétition est judicieuse. Elle désacralise les attentes que l’on peut se faire d’une recréation, balaie les attentes de chacun, et rend accessible cet art.»
