WoMen
Written to resonate several temporalities and several existences, the booklet will present stories of unknown women because forgotten-prevented-erased, in the form of theoretical texts, autobiographical writings, tales and real stories. In her essay A Room of Her Own, Virginia Woolf writes: "Women have sat inside their homes for thousands of years, so that now the very walls are imbued with their creative force. (… "The majority of women are neither prostitutes nor courtesans and they don't just sit there hugging their pugs against dusty velvet on a summer afternoon. But then what do they do? And here came my mind one of those long streets, somewhere on the south side of the river, whose endless rows of houses shelter an innumerable population". It will be a question of tracing the history of certain women who had to survive in a world ruled for centuries by kings, priests, husbands and brothers; and others who, through their long walk out of the straitjacket, have managed to defy the rules to fulfill their vocation and inspire current and future generations.
